Say goodbye to Happy Accidents and hello to One of a Kinds! We’ve rebranded our uniquely beautiful skeins to better reflect their special nature. At La Bien Aimée, we hand-dye each skein, blending art and science, and sometimes, magical things happen in the dye pots.

One of a Kinds are skeins that turned out a little differently than planned—maybe the shade is slightly darker, lighter, cooler, or warmer, or the speckles are more subtle or intense. These skeins are not defective; they’re simply one-of-a-kind treasures that can’t be replicated. (Defective skeins are used in our Confetti yarn recycling project.)

This non superwash, light fingering weight yarn combines high-quality Falkland Merino with the unique Gotland wool fiber. Gotland wool is known for its wonderful luster and slight halo, making it reminiscent of mohair. This light-grey fiber mixed with the bright white merino gives the Helix yarn an incredible sheen and depth of color not possible on our other yarn bases.

Designed to be held double either with itself or held together with Mohair Silk or Kumo results is a light and delicate fabric with a lovely drape and fluffy halo.

Composition: 75% Falkland merino, 25% Gotland wool, 163m (178yds) per 25g.
Care: Hand wash recommended / Lavage à la main recommandé.
Needle size: 2mm - 4mm / US0 to US6.
