THE EPIC FADE / LE MÉGA FADE
The idea of an epic fade was born from an order by giveaway winner Dan Lee, @edwinjohnknits on Instagram, who asked us to make him a custom fade from Vespa Graffiti to Pinku Graffiti. We loved this idea and jumped on the opportunity to come up with a huge super fun fade! Dan gave us a list of the colorways he loved the most and here is what we came up with...

L'idée d'un Méga Fade est née à la demande de l'un des gagnants du concours que nous avons organisé au mois de mai pour remercier les travailleurs de première ligne dans la crise liée à la pandémie du Covid-19. Dan Lee, @edwinjohnknits sur Instagram, nous a demandé de lui préparer un fade sur mesure allant de Vespa Graffiti à Pinku Graffiti. Nous avons adoré cette idée et sauté sur l'occasion pour créer un énorme fade super joyeux! Dan nous a donné une liste des couleurs qu'il préférait et voilà ce que nous lui avons envoyé... |
A La Bien Aimée fade is usually 4 skeins, so we just had to call this the EPIC fade, Méga Fade in French. The 8 colorways are: Vespa Graffiti, Life Aquatic, Waterlillies, Tickle, Pop Grunge, Tangiopeia, Tang and Pinku Graffiti. It would be absolutely perfect for a super epic fade sweater, like Andrea Mowry's So Faded, or for a great shawl like the Find Your Fade... You could also cut it in half and get two projects out of this fade.
| Un fade La Bien Aimée est normalement composé de 4 écheveaux, nous avons donc décidé de nommer celui-ci le Méga Fade, Epic Fade en anglais. Les 8 coloris qui le composent sont: Vespa Graffiti, Life Aquatic, Waterlillies, Tickle, Pop Grunge, Tangiopeia, Tang et Pinku Graffiti. Il ferait un incroyable pull dégradé, comme le So Faded d'Andrea Mowry, mais serait également parfait pour faire un grand châle comme le Find Your Fade... On pourrait aussi le couper en deux et en faire deux projets. |
Another giveaway winner, Tammy, asked us for a special fade starting with her favorite LBA colorway, Hegelia. So Aimee and Hiro started working on it together and came up with this brand new colorway called Tidal Sands. The 4 skein fade is Hegelia, Sanho, Tidal Sands and San Tokki, and it is perfect for Andrea Mowry's Comfort Fade Cardi! Aimee soon realized that this fade would fit perfectly with our Peerie Tokki fade and voilà, we had another Epic Fade.
| Une autre gagnante de ce concours, Tammy, nous a demandé un fade commençant par sa couleur préférée, Hegelia. Aimee et Hiro ont donc travaillé ensemble pour créer ce tout nouveau coloris nommé Tidal Sands. Les 4 couleurs qui composent ce fade sont: Hegelia, Sanho, Tidal Sands et San Tokki. Il est absolument parfait pour le Comfort Fade Cardi d'Andrea Mowry! Aimee s'est tout de suite rendu compte que ce fade allait parfaitement avec notre coloris Peerie Tokki et le fade dont il fait partie, et un deuxième Méga Fade est né. |
